The Fish Recommendations feature displays areas in the ocean with the highest likelihood of finding fish, based on the oceanographic conditions. This feature has two options: Oceanographer-created Fish Recommendations and AI-generated Hot Zones.

• The AI generated hot zones show generalized recommendation areas represented with purple-colored patches and are based on a proprietary AI algorithm that has identified the areas with the right conditions for fish to be present.
• The Oceanographer created recommendations are represented with fish icons and are created manually by a detailed analysis from oceanographic scientists.

Update Rates

• AI-generated Hot Zones: Updated daily.
• Oceanographer-created Fish Recommendations: Updated twice a week on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

The Sea Temperature features provide water temperatures on the surface as well as temperatures at depths of 75, 150, 300, and 500 feet by using the slider bar on the right-hand side.

Sea Surface Temperature Front Finder: Select the Overlay called "Front Finder" to see areas with the strongest SST fronts. These fronts will overlay on top of the Sea Temperature base layer or other base layers as desired.

The Plankton feature provides data to help locate pelagic species by tracking the food web: phytoplankton blooms feed zooplankton, which feed baitfish and squid, which in turn attract larger species. More important than using these absolute values are finding plankton fronts, eddy edges, and filaments where bait gets concentrated. Look for areas where high Plankton zones abut low Plankton zones. As desired, specific plankton concentration ranges can be established in the Settings menu.

The Altimetry feature measures sea surface height (SSH) in inches or centimeters. Often referred to as Upwellings and Downwellings. The constantly changing sea surface height reveals the ocean's current and eddy fields, often useful for finding fish because of the nutrient-rich water. The most likely fishing areas are often located along the perimeter, where SSH gradients are steep, as these current fronts often concentrate bait. Altimetry also maps convergence zones where two water masses collide, which are classic pelagic hotspots. Specific altimetry height ranges can be adjusted in the Settings menu.

View oceanographic data on the current day and for 7 days prior, along with the moon phase for each day.

The ocean currents feature can reveal areas where bait concentrate at boundaries and set the thermal and nutrient conditions fish prefer. Major currents like the Gulf Stream act as highways The best opportunities typically occur at the current edges and convergences, where opposing or differing water masses meet. In these areas bait gets disoriented, debris and weed lines form, and pelagic species patrol these seams.

The thermocline feature shows the depth where water temperature drops sharply within the water column. Thermocline depth ranges can be adjusted in the Settings menu.

Salinity levels mark the boundaries between different water masses and pelagic species concentrate along those boundaries. Salinity is measured in PSUs "Practical Salinity Units." Sharp gradients in ocean salinity form where river plumes, rainfall, upwelling, or currents inject different water into the mix. These low-salinity lenses often abut saltier oceanic water, creating a visible color and temperature contrast while trapping bait, sargassum, and debris along the edge. As desired, specific Salinity level ranges can be adjusted in the Settings menu.

True color satellite imagery lets you see the ocean the way your eyes would from space. The ocean color reveals water mass boundaries:

• deep cobalt-blue indicates clear, low-productivity oceanic water
• turquoise and green tones indicate productive, plankton- or sediment-rich water
• brown and tan streaks show river plumes, sediment, and runoff

The Bathymetry feature includes:

Measure distance and bearing from your current position or the distance and bearing between two points on the map.

Create and store an individual waypoint or custom route with multiple waypoints on your screen. The route can then be downloaded and exported allowing you to transfer a route to your MFD onboard via standard GPX file procedures.
